The Pleasant Valley Stake Relief Society is planning “Gathering Pearls”, a mini-conference, on Sat., Feb. 25, 2012, for all Relief Society Sisters. Our purpose is to strengthen ourselves, and ultimately, our families. “Gathering Pearls” will be held at the Stake Center from 9:00-1:00. There will be great presenters and a delicious luncheon. Please put this date on your calendar and plan to attend. Please wear Sunday dress.

The ideas are to be simple, inexpensive ways to strengthen our families. Would you please help us out and submit your ideas? Ham Fried Rice- Barbara Mifflin

HAM FRIED RICE

4 cups cooked and cooled rice
1/2 cup margarine
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (opt)
2 cups diced ham (fully cooked)
salt and pepper to taste
Soy Sauce to taste
3 to 4 scrambled eggs

In large frying pan melt margarine, add onion, green pepper and mushrooms (opt).  Cook until tender, add rice, ham and seasonings, heat through.  Fold in eggs.

Note: The secret to good fried rice is to cool the rice completely and let it dry out slightly.
